Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Spears with Tully Blanchard (Five Labours of Jericho, Chapter 1 — Only Spears can use a steel chair)

This is the first of MJF’s stipulations for Jericho. MJF joins commentary. Spears starting out with the chair, Jericho able to throw a punch that causes him to drop it. Jericho runs over Spears with a clothesline, but takes a kick to the midsection, followed by a bunch of chops. Spears on the apron, ends up getting knocked to the floor. Jericho launches Spears into the barricade, then takes the camera. He shows off the crowd to a big cheer and then does a quick selfie with it. Both get back in the ring as the crowd chants “Jericho!”

Spears out to the floor again, Spears grabs another chair from under the ring. Jericho tries for a springboard dropkick and gets a chair thrown right at him. Spears gets on his opponent and swings away. Jericho able to drop Spears, goes to the top, Spears leaps up and throws Jericho to the mat, cover, two. He then drags Jericho to the corner, wraps his bad arm around the post and then hits it with a chair. Back in the ring,

Spears misses a splash in the corner, Jericho runs over Spears, heads to the top, double sledge over the head. Spears put up on the top turnbuckle, Jericho swings away and hits a hurricanrana to a big pop. Jericho then runs right into a thrust kick. A chair is wedged into the corner. Jericho takes a blue thunder bomb, cover, two. Spears whacks Jericho with a chair. He lines up Jericho for another shot, but Jericho trips him up and is able to lock in walls of Jericho. Tully jumps up on the apron, distracting the ref, and Spears taps out. Spears grabs the chair, but Sammy pulls Tully off the apron. Sammy chases him up the ramp. Jericho gets hit with the chair, C4 hits, cover, 1-2-no! Spears look for a C4 on the chair, Jericho slips away, throws Spears into that chair wedged in the corner and then drops Spears with Judas Effect, cover, and that will do it.

Winner: Chris Jericho via Pinfall

– Post-match, MJF gets on the mic and tells Jericho he passed the first test, but got the help from Sammy. He says if anyone else comes out an help him, their deal is off. Next week it will be a No DQ Match against Nick Gage! Making his AEW debut, Gage heads out to the stage and talks some trash to Jericho.

– AEW TNT Champion Miro cuts a promo putting the roster on notice. Miro wonders who will be next for The Redeemer?

Frankie Kazarian vs. Doc Gallows (with Karl Anderson)

Back and forth action with Doc looking to get the advantage as the two spill out to the floor. Gallows beating up Kazarian at ringside and tossing him into the barricade. Back in the ring, Kazarian throws shots at Gallows, ducks a few shots and takes down the big man. Anderson up on the apron, but the distraction doesn’t work. Kazarian with a back drop, springboard leg drop, cover, two.

Frankie looks for the crossface chicken wing. Anderson up on the apron again when the ref is distracted. He ends up taking a leg lariat as Frankie gets away from Gallows. Kazarian then turns around into a big boot and a sit-down powerbomb for the pinfall win.

Winner: Doc Gallows via Pinfall

– Post-match, Gallows and Anderson continue to beat up Kazarian. The two then hit magic killer on him. Kenny Omega’s music hits and out strolls Omega and Don Callis. Callis introduces Omega and passes over the mic. Omega says Kazarian has been a thorn in their side for weeks, but now the tables have turned. “The Elite Hunter becomes the Elite Hunted.” He goes for a v-trigger, but out comes Hangman Page. “Cowboy s***” chant from the crowd. Page gets in the ring with the four guys still there. Callis on the mic again and tells Page he can certainly count to four and he’s a bit outnumbered. Page hands Don his drink and goes after Omega. Gallows and Anderson take him down and Omega scoots out to the floor. Dark Order runs out and clears away The Good Brothers. Page hits a buckshot lariat on Anderson.

– Backstage, Dasha talks with Brian Cage and sends it to a message from Team Taz. Taz laughs and says they are so proud of Tony Stark winning the FTW Championship. Starks says next week there will be a huge celebration for him. Back to Dasha and Cage. Cage wonders if they are still in the building (they aren’t). Cage says they are having a celebration next week? He loves celebrations! Cage walks off.

Wheeler Yuta with Orange Cassidy vs. Darby Allin with Sting

Allin with the early crucifix pin, but barely a one-count. Hikuleo (son of King Haku, brother of Tama Tonga and Tanga Roa) is sitting in the crowd to watch the match. Yuta getting in some offense with kicks, he then drops Allin over the top rope, cover, two. Allin is up and hits some chops in the corner, lands a big kick to his opponent, heads up top, but gets tripped up. Yuta with a flying octopus submission and grinds his elbow into Allin’s taped up ribs.

Allin gets away, but goes into a german suplex with the bridge for two. Yuta goes up top, Allin crotches him and heads to the top. Allin hits a superplex. On the floor, Sting and Cassidy have a bit of a face-off. Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets, Sting gives him a light boot, and Cassidy returns fire. They go back and forth, eventually landing double light superkicks. Allin gets nearly pinned when he sees what’s going on. Allin recovers, hits an over-the-top stunner, goes to the top, coffin drop! 1-2-3.

Winner: Darby Allin via Pinfall

– Post-match, The Blade blasts Cassidy with brass knuckles. He laughs and makes his way back up the ramp. The two are scheduled to have a match later tonight.

– Hikuleo is shown again in the crowd with commentary saying he’ll have a close eye on tonight’s main event between Moxley and Archer for the IWGP US Championship.

Britt Baker (c) with Rebel vs. Nyla Rose with Vickie Guerrero (AEW Women’s World Championship)

Baker looking to keep Rose grounded as things get going. Rose stands up with Baker on her back and jams him into the corner. Baker looks for a roll-up, two. Tries again, only one-count. Rose lifts and slams Baker to the mat, running senton, and shots to the face. Rose talks some trash to the crowd. Baker put up on the top rope, Rose heads up, but Rebel pulls Baker down to the apron.

Back in the ring, Baker throws Rose’s face into the top turnbuckle. Rose able to fight her way back into the match, drops Baker, hits a few backbreakers, and finishes with a fallaway slam. Vickie laughs and jaws at Baker from the outside. Baker dodges Rose, slingblade, looks for a cover, two. Crowd thought it was three. Baker goes to get her glove. Rose goes for a chokeslam, Baker counters for a two-count. She goes right for lockjaw, but Rose throws elbows to fight that off. Rose with a death valley driver and hangs Baker over the top rope. Rose heads to the top and hits a diving knee drop, cover, two-count.

Rose looks for beast bomb, countered into a swinging neckbreaker by Britt. She throws a thrust kick to the jaw, another one, cover, two. Baker gets caught with a short chokeslam, cover, two. Baker in the corner, crucifix bomb for two. Baker lands a curb stomp, a second one, cover, two-count. Rose hits a forearm that puts Baker down. Rose also down. Rebel up on the apron for the distraction. Baker gets the title, tosses it to Rose to act like she got hit, but Vickie keeps the ref’s attention. Rose throws it back to Baker and acts like she got hit! The ref barks at Baker, but doesn’t do anything. Rose with a beast bomb, cover, two! Goes for another, Baker floats over and is able to apply lockjaw, Rose finally taps out.

Winner: Britt Baker via Submission

– Earlier today, press conference between Santana/Ortiz and FTR. It will take place next week at Fight for the Fallen. Dax Harwood says they came from different parts of the country, but both came from poverty. He respects where they came from, but doesn’t respect them as men. Ortiz says they’ve been here since day one and are just a roadblock on their way to tag team gold. Santana shows old photos of his upbringing and how his mom had to take slumlords to court. Dax says all he cares about is God, his family, and wrestling. All that’s left to do is beat their ass! The two teams stand up and go at each other, but a bunch of people get in their way.

– Tony Schiavone in the ring to introduce Andrade El Idolo. Andrade takes the mic from Tony and says “Tranquillo.” He says he has a surprise for everyone. His assistant steps up and shows Tony something on an iPad. Tony double checks with what he said and announces the new executive consultant to Andrade. Chavo Guerrero! Crowd pops big for him. A pumped up Chavo makes his way into the ring and hugs Andrade. Chavo says, “Wow! You remembered?!” He says AEW is the place to be and couldn’t believe all the talent back there. He says with all due respect to them, he doesn’t see anyone that has as much talent as Andrade. Death Triangle’s music hits and out comes Penta El Zero Miedo, PAC, and Rey Fenix (with Alex Abrahantes). PAC on the mic: “Mr. Andrade, I don’t know who you think you are. Last week, we heard our name in your mouth, so ladies and gentlemen for the record, let it be known the Death Triangle hides from no one.”

Andrade thanks the three for coming. He says Penta and Fenix are good, but Andrade is great! He then speaks some Spanish and says he is an elite superstar. Chavo back on the mic, says everyone knows they are great, but their waists aren’t “shiny” enough. If they want to go to the next level, they should listen to Andrade. He asks Penta and Fenix why they work for PAC? He tells them they now work for Andrade. PAC doesn’t know what planet Andrade is on. He says they don’t work for him, they are a team, a family. Fenix says they are family, also he and Penta are the real face of latinos. Penta says some things to Andrade in Spanish. Alex translate, “Penta says…why would we want to join a group with you when you’re not even on our level?” The trio rush the ring. Andrade says everyone works for him…everyone! A group of referees hit the ring and keep them separated as Andrade and his guys leave the ring.

– Earlier tonight, H.F.O. out to the ring to explain why Matt Hardy wasn’t around tonight. A full out brawl with Jungle Boy, Marko Stunt, Christian Cage goes down after H.F.O. take out Marko Stunt. Christian then says himself, JB, and Luchasaurus next week against Private Party and Angelico.

– QT Marshall, Aaron Solow, and Nick Comoroto talk with Alex Marvez about pouring a drink on Tony’s head last week. Marvez wondered if they will do that to him, they say he’s being nice! Marvez also wonders if they should give Tony an apology. QT says next week they will give Tony one in the middle of the ring.

The Blade with The Bunny vs. Orange Cassidy with Kris Statlander

Blade doesn’t think Cassidy will be coming out after blasting him with brass knuckles. He wants his hand raised by the ref, but Cassidy slips into the ring. Cassidy drops Blade, looks for orange punch, but Blade dips out of the ring. Blade gets back in the ring and puts down Cassidy. They battle, but Blade drops down to the corner and says his knees is banged up. The Bunny checks on him. Cassidy backs away and waits while talking to the referee. The Blade then gets up and boots Cassidy. Orange recovers and hits stundog millionaire. Blade hits a gutwrench bomb on the top rope.
